This track from Danish artists Retro Kid was released 24th January. This is the first single of his upcoming album ‘Nordic Noir’. The release shares insights about producer Jake Juba’s first hand experience as a Copenhagener. The track has vocals from Danish singers Christiane and Christian, to add some spices to this authentic mix of electronic elements with pop-music tradition. It sounds pretty much like an indie-electro with jazz elements.
‘Neon Colours’ is a song about Jake’s favourite pub in Copenhagen called Cafe Malmö, a basement bar full of singular personalities, with an old jukebox that plays old songs, such as Fleetwood Mac. The song talks about young hipsters that feel nostalgic about listening songs that are older than they.
The track is also featured in our newest playlist Chilling in Eden.
